Getting up and about as an over 50

There are many ways for us to enjoy our spare time as over 50’s.  Sometimes we take on the mind set of being too old to get out and try new things however there is loads for us still to do !

The National trust offer a wide variety of walks both coastal or woodland and have houses with grounds beautifully preserved and ready for you to experience.  A perfect example is the park walk in Tyntesfield, North Somerset,  this is a beautiful walk across pastures with a gentle uphill return.  If you are accepting more of a challenge look for the Randwick Ramble a walk through woodlands and grasslands.

Getting out and about doesn’t always mean long walks,  try heading to a museum or an art gallery near you.  Most art galleries and museums will have a place to sit and have a drink meaning you can spend a longer amount of time where ever you choose to go. Some places to visit are Tate Modern, The Natural History Museum, The National Railway Museum.  These are just a few of the vast number of places to visit in the UK.

I hope that this article has inspired you to get up and about and see something or go somewhere you haven’t been before. Most importantly I hope you enjoy it!
