Looking fabulous (and dating George Clooney) tops the lifetime dream list
A new list out today reveals that TV makeover shows featuring celebrities such as Gok Wan and Trinny & Susannah are shaping our lifetime aspirations.
Yours magazine used a '60 Things to Do Before You're 60'competiton to compile a definitive list of the dreams of everyday people. Almost 20% of entrants said having a makeover was the thing they'd most like to do before hitting that milestone.
Whilst traditional ideas of being a movie star, travelling across America and swimming with dolphins are on the list, they no longer top it - makeovers, and a date with the lovely George Clooney, do!
The top 10 dreams are:
- Have a makeover
- Swim with dolphins
- Walk the Great Wall of China
- Learn to ride a horse
- Take a balloon trip
- Learn to ice skate
- Be a film extra
- Ride through the Grand Canyon
- See the Northern Lights
- Wing-walking
One of the worthy winners, Sandra Cook, from Llantwit Major, simply wanted a makeover to boost her confidence and put a spring in her step. The Yours beauty team will be on hand to give her a full makeover and photoshoot during a stay at a top London hotel. She will get to show off her new look on a night out in London's West End.
