Do you find it easy to get around the area you live in? Is public transport an issue? A recent Tilda study in Belfast shows that 9 out of ten over 50s will not use public transport.
There were many reasons people didn’t want to use public transport. These include the lack of useful routes, infrequent services and inconvenient schedules. All of these reasons combined led to 9 out of 10 over 50s not wanting to use public transport.
It’s hard to believe that such an important part of a town or cities transport system can be flawed to the point that this amount of people will refuse to use it. Is this the case in your town or area? If so talk to the local council or the staff at the depot and make your opinion heard.
