There is a common misconception that over 50s don’t like their phones or any tech for that matter. There is now new proof that this isn’t the case. A recent study has shown that 9 out of 10 over 50s love buying a new smartphone. As over 50s, we use our phones for many different things with 49% of over 50s using their mobile phone daily, the most popular reason being texting.

Over 50s are getting upset and annoyed about the misconception stating that they don’t get annoyed with technology, but do get annoyed with the condescending attitude that the younger generations have towards over 50s, in relation to tech.

Over 50s have become just as used to technology as the younger generations its just not seen. Other reasons that over 50s use their phones include looking through social media and checking the weather.
