Currently only 17% of over 50s have access to help with wellbeing in the workplace. This is a staggeringly low number of people and more and more people are suffering from some sort of mental health issue in their lifetime.
Mental health issues often have a strong relationship with stressful environments which for most, work is definitely that. This makes it all the more important for workplaces to offer the necessary support to those who really need it!
If you feel like you are not getting the support that you need it is important to get in contact with your Human resources manager or equivalent and make sure that they put in place or try to put into place a means for you to get the help you need as soon as possible.
