Maybe Over 50s Are Going To Work

Information about over50s employment is proving difficult to get clarity on.  The Sun say most of the growth in employment over the three months to November came in the older, over 50s, age group.

The figures have shown that the number of over 50s in work has risen 81,000 to 10.05 million.  This could be due to the fact we are living longer and retirement age is rising.  Some experts believe that the figures reflect Britain’s ageing society but also the fact that more businesses are looking to cash in on older workers “experience, talents and loyalty”. The reputation of over 50s working traits may have lead to the increase of employment because employers are looking for employees that are worth their time and money.
